UCC Frequently Asked Questions

What is a UCC?

The UCC-1 Financing Statement is a legal document that ISPC records in the county where the financed equipment is located, giving notice that ISPC has a secured interest in the equipment.

Why does ISPC file a UCC?

The equipment that you purchased is the collateral for our loan. Because the collateral may be affixed to your real property, we notify the county that we have a security interest specifically in this fixture.

Does this mean ISPC has a lien on my home?

No. This security interest specifically applies only to the equipment purchased and financed through ISPC and not to the home itself.

I’m selling my home and the UCC has come up. What do I do?

If someone is asking you to address this, please contact us at 1.800.345.4772 ext 1800 and we’ll help you meet your goals.
